Terms

Jose, if you want me to keep writing on your blog, I have a couple terms and we will have to come to some sort of agreement. Then I am more than happy to help.

I have a few requests, and they are in order of how negotiable they are. If you come back to me with too many yeses or too many nos that might be a deal breaker.

First of all, the tone of what I write about has to be up to me. We can no longer talk about tone, and author’s voice and how what I write will be received. I need to be able to write everything, unabashedly. This is how people should see me. They should want to be me, but we can’t force that. Second, you need to give a preface to everything I write about how impressed you are with my post. Everything I say is impressive. THIS IS IMPORTANT

Third, you can only make seven requests to change things. And you must red line. I can go back and forth a while because I know and you know we must respect the craft. But again, no notes on tone. Notes that are acceptable are mainly praise. THIS IS IMPORTANT

I think that is all I ask for, which is not a lot. I know we have had our differences. I know we don’t talk as much as we used to but as we say – the blog must go on. The blog is life. The blog is love.

When I started freelance writing it was never for fun. Fun was the last thing I thought about. I always wanted to optimize on praise and I feel like we have fallen short of what is really important. Regardless if our mom tells us if she read it or not. We both know she probably didn’t. But she still says good job. We have definitely fallen from this pattern, but not to worry. Like you always say: “Together we can write blogs. The blog must go on”

I have some ideas of things I am comfortable writing about. Please tell me that you agree. The first and foremost thing I want to write about is exactly what I think about rent control. Then of course Israel and Egypt and the historic lawsuit our family has with cocoa cola. Then I want to give details on what food does to my stool. I can also talk about the ergonomic keyboard and mouse you recommended to me. So far they are the talk of the town. I think I made a lot of people extremely jealous. I wish you would have warned me about this, but this can be forgiven. Finally I am willing to talk about how our colleagues do insider trading and how we should report them to the SEC. All in good time.

Side note: no action from you. But the quality of your blogs are hard to keep up with. I feel an enormous amount of pressure with this platform so please keep that in mind. This is something that I think about constantly so I want you to share that burden with my brother, but more importantly my co-writer.

Together we can do anything. Maybe one day we can figure out how to divide a google doc into three columns and fold it up like a restaurant menu. I would like a Thai fusion dish, and you can make your famous lasagna. I heard a lot of princesses love it, one of them is me

Okay get back to me soon and I am happy to start writing. But also i can’t figure out how to post a blog so maybe you can help with that. But the message function is pretty cool, it saves drafts
